Kabega Emilliene

President of the Board

Emilienne Kabega, a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in leadership, administration, and finance, serves as the President of the Board for Prime Luminisce Rwanda. She is currently the Head of Finance and Administration at the Institute of Research and Dialogue for Peace (IRDP) in partnership with Interpeace, where she oversees financial management, procurement, human resources, and logistics. Her extensive career includes roles such as Director of Operations at the Rwanda Genocide Testimony and Research - HUMURA Centre and Director General of DUTERIMBERE ASBL, where she championed women’s entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. Emilienne has also played significant leadership roles in the microfinance sector, including serving as Chairperson of the Board for COPEDU PLC and Vice Chairperson of DUTERIMBERE Ltd, showcasing her dedication to financial inclusion and economic resilience.

 

As the President of Prime Luminisce Rwanda, Emilienne leads the organization in its mission to illuminate, empower, and elevate Rwandan Canadian artists. She has been instrumental in creating platforms that celebrate artistic talent, foster intergenerational cultural exchange, and strengthen community bonds. Her visionary leadership and passion for cultural preservation inspire pride within the Rwandan diaspora and drive the organization’s impactful work, bridging the gap for Rwandan voices abroad and building a stronger, united community.

Mike Rukundo 

Mike Rukundo, founder of Prime Luminisce Rwanda, is not only a talented photographer but also a visionary leader dedicated to promoting the arts and empowering Rwandan artists. With a keen eye for capturing the essence of moments and a deep appreciation for artistic expression, Mike has established himself as a prominent figure in the creative community. His journey began as a hobbyist photographer, but his passion and exceptional skills propelled him into the professional world, capturing the attention of renowned social media platforms and entertainment companies.

 

Mike's commitment to uplifting emerging Canadian performers, documenting significant events, and collaborating with industry experts has earned him a reputation for producing brilliant and sharp photographs. Now, as the driving force behind Prime Luminisce Rwanda, he aims to channel his expertise and artistic sensibilities to illuminate the talents of Rwandan artists, empower them to reach their full potential, and elevate the arts within the local community through various artistic endeavors and community engagement initiatives.

Dj Smith 

DJ Smith, co-founder of Prime, is a talented and versatile individual excelling in various artistic domains. With a deep passion for music, DJing, sound engineering, and graphic design, he brings a wealth of creativity and expertise to his role within the organization. DJ Smith's journey began in 2013 when he discovered his love for DJing and pursued formal training at the prestigious "Scratch Music Academy" in Kigali, Rwanda. His dedication and skill set him apart, allowing him to showcase a diverse range of musical genres, from Afrobeats and House Lounge to Trap, Hip-Hop, and R&B. He also incorporates elements of EDM, Jazz, and Dancehall, ensuring an eclectic and captivating experience for the audience.

 

In addition to his DJing prowess, DJ Smith brings invaluable technical knowledge and artistic flair to Prime as a sound engineer and graphic designer. His expertise in sound engineering allows him to create immersive and high-quality audio experiences for live performances and recordings. As a graphic designer, he skillfully crafts visual identities and promotional materials, ensuring that Prime's artistic vision is effectively communicated to the world. DJ Smith's unique combination of skills, passion for music, and dedication to his craft contributes to the success and vibrancy of Prime as an organization that celebrates and empowers artists in Rwanda and beyond.

Nicole Rubayiza

Nicole Rubayiza is a dynamic and charismatic individual who serves as the spokesperson for Prime. With her exceptional communication skills and magnetic presence, Nicole is the voice that represents the vision, values, and mission of Prime to the world.

As Prime's spokesperson, Nicole brings a unique blend of eloquence, passion, and authenticity to her role. She effectively communicates the organization's message and initiatives to diverse audiences, capturing their attention and inspiring them to engage with Prime's mission of illuminating, empowering, and elevating Rwandan artists.

Nicole's expertise in interpretation, translation, hosting, and emceeing allows her to articulate Prime's core values and goals with clarity and impact. Chelsea Agasaro

Chelsea Agasaro is a dedicated professional and a vital member of Prime Luminisce, serving as the organization's Chief Of Financial MA. Chelsea is also a writer, using words to express her creativity and share meaningful stories.

Chelsea's passion for both the arts and her Rwandan heritage has driven her involvement with Prime Luminisce. As a writer, she understands the power of storytelling and the importance of amplifying the voices of Rwandan artists. Her dedication to preserving and promoting Rwandan culture is evident in her work within the organization, where she contributes to the vision of creating a timeless platform for Rwandan artists.

Chelsea’s commitment to the arts makes her an invaluable asset to Prime Luminisce, through her multifaceted talents, Chelsea advocates passionately for the Rwandan artistic community, preserving and promoting its rich cultural heritage. Keza Ornella 

Keza Ornella is an extraordinary individual who seamlessly blends her roles as the Head of Hospitality at Prime and the Host Team Lead at Hillsong Toronto. Born and raised in Rwanda, Keza's upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for hospitality and the power of sharing love through food. With her own catering business, Sans Tashe, she has created a platform to showcase the vibrant flavors and cultural heritage of Rwandese cuisine.

In her role as the Head of Hospitality at Prime, Keza brings warmth, generosity, and a wealth of knowledge to create remarkable culinary experiences. Her expertise in Rwandan taste profiles and cultural traditions allows her to curate dining experiences that not only satisfy the senses but also provide a glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry of Rwanda. KELLY MUTESI

Kelly Mutesi, the Talent Recruiter at Prime, is an exceptional individual with a keen eye for talent and a passion for nurturing the creative potential of others. With her extensive experience and deep understanding of the arts, Kelly plays a vital role in discovering and fostering emerging artists within the Prime community.

As Prime's Talent Recruiter, Kelly brings a unique blend of expertise and intuition to her role. She has a remarkable ability to identify individuals with extraordinary artistic abilities, whether it be in music, dance, visual arts, or any other form of creative expression. Through her discerning judgment and insightful guidance, Kelly helps connect talented individuals with opportunities that can elevate their careers and showcase their unique gifts to a wider audience.

Kelly Ngarambe

Kelly Ngarambe, a culture coordinator of Prime, is a remarkable individual who combines his passion for culture and creativity to make a profound impact. Born in Rwanda and raised in Toronto, Kelly's upbringing enriched him with a deep appreciation for his Rwandese heritage. He is not only a talented culture coordinator but also a gifted traditional poet, infusing his art with the richness of Rwandese traditions and poetry.

With a background in film production, Kelly brings a unique perspective to his role at Prime. As a culture coordinator, he plays a pivotal role in curating and promoting cultural events, exhibitions, and performances that celebrate the vibrant artistic expressions of Rwanda.

 

Kelly's deep understanding of Rwandese culture allows him to create meaningful connections between artists, performers, and the community, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment.
